Joan is the Founder & Lead Instructor at The Code Lab. She is passionate about demystifying the world of Coding & Computer Science for Kids.
Joan has a BSc. in Computer Science and worked in the IT Industry for many years, before taking a career break to focus on her family.  With four young children, she went in search of coding/STEM courses suitable for their age but couldn’t find any.

Welcome & Introduction
We will spend some time getting laptops setup, lunches packed away safely and then will have some fun welcome activities for the kids to settle in, and get to know eachother.
Coding Unplugged Activity
We have some fun non-screen coding activities lined up for the kids, some of them are individual activities and some are team activities, all are fun!!!
Scratch Coding
In this lesson we will learn how to make an e-card for Valentines, Birthday or any other special occasion.
Microbit Coding
I~ts time to get hands-on with microbits, this will be a taster session where the kids will see what a microbit is, and get to code a few small projects on it.
