Welcome to The Code Lab Teacher Training Course
This course covers what you need to run Scratch coding lessons in your classroom using The Code Lab’s online platform:
- How the platform works
- How lessons are structured
- The basics of Scratch itself
If you need extra support on anything, or have feedback on this course, get in touch, we’re here to help.
You will need access to the following technology to participate in this online teacher training courses:
- A Computer, Tablet or Smartphone to watch the course video’s on.
- If you wish to try out a few of the coding lessons yourself, you will need a Laptop or Desktop computer to do some of the coding lessons. This course doesn't suit the use of a Tablet, due to the nature of the games being created.
- Headphones are recommended, as this course contains video lessons with audio.
- Internet Connection – you will need an internet connection so you can watch the video lessons and code along in Scratch online.
- In order to code in Scratch and save your work, you will need access to a Teacher Account in Scratch. This may have been created for you by your school administrator, so check with them prior to creating another one. If it wasn't, there is a lesson you can follow to show you how to create your own.
