Scratch Teacher Training Course
Thank You for allowing us to take your class on a journey of discovery with Code.
In this “Train the Teacher” Course, you will learn how to introduce Scratch into your classroom using The Code Lab’s online learning platform.
There are a number of lessons below which you can work through, to give you an overview of The Code Lab’s Online Platform and of Scratch Coding itself.
If there are any areas that you would like extra support on, or if you have any comments on this course, be sure to get in touch with us, we are here to help.
You will need access to the following technology to participate in this online teacher training courses:
- A Computer, Tablet or Smartphone to watch the course video’s on.
- If you wish to try out a few of the coding lessons yourself, you will need a Laptop or Desktop computer to do some of the coding lessons. This course doesn't suit the use of a Tablet, due to the nature of the games being created.
- Headphones are recommended, as this course contains video lessons with audio.
- Internet Connection – you will need an internet connection so you can watch the video lessons and code along in Scratch online.
- In order to code in Scratch and save your work, you will need access to a Teacher Account in Scratch. This may have been created for you by your school administrator, so check with them prior to creating another one. If it wasn't, there is a lesson you can follow to show you how to create your own.
